Gas ranges first
AGA is the British cooker invented in 1922, sold in North America through AGA Marvel. Its gas-top ranges and its gas-fired cast-iron cookers work very differently, and we service both.

An AGA is bought for a lifetime, and it should be serviced with that in mind. Entretien Universel has worked on premium gas cooking equipment since 1995. As an AGA authorized service provider, we repair, install and maintain AGA gas-top ranges and gas-fired AGA cookers to the manufacturer's standards, from Gatineau to Québec City, with the same team that holds our RBQ gas licence.
Every visit starts with a complete diagnostic. On gas-top ranges, we check gas pressure, ignition and flame on each burner, the oven controls, elements and convection fan, and oven temperature against a calibrated probe. On gas-fired cast-iron cookers, we check the burner, flame, thermostat, flue draught and heat across the hotplates and ovens. You get a clear explanation of what failed and why, with a firm quote, before any part is ordered.
On AGA Elise and Mercury ranges, a burner that clicks without lighting, lights late or will not hold a low flame usually comes down to a dirty or cracked igniter, a spark switch, a burner cap out of place or blocked ports. We clean and test each burner, check valve output, adjust the flame and set the low-flame stop so the simmer burner can turn down to its rated minimum again. Continuous grates and brass burners are checked for wear at the same visit.
AGA gas-top ranges cook with electric ovens: a multifunction convection oven, a second convection oven on wider models and a glide-out or dual broiler. When an oven will not heat, heats unevenly or ignores a cooking mode, we test the elements, convection fan and motor, temperature sensor, selector and controls, then calibrate the oven so roasting and baking come out right.
A gas-fired AGA stays on, storing heat in its cast-iron ovens and hotplates. When it runs cold, cycles badly or the flame looks lazy, we inspect and clean the burner, check gas pressure and combustion, test the thermostat and safety devices and verify the flue. Regular servicing keeps it efficient, safe and at the steady heat AGA owners rely on.
Our RBQ-licensed team (8259-8822-21) installs AGA gas-top ranges from start to finish: gas line and shutoff valve, inlet pressure check, natural gas or propane setup with the included conversion kit, the 240 V oven connection, levelling, the anti-tip bracket and clearance checks to cabinets and the hood. We test every burner, oven and broiler before we leave.
As an AGA authorized service provider, we perform repairs covered by the AGA warranty according to the manufacturer's terms. Have your model number, serial number and proof of purchase ready and we will confirm coverage with you. Outside the warranty, we install the same genuine AGA parts, never generic substitutes, so your AGA keeps its performance and its value.

An annual service prevents most breakdowns. On gas-top ranges, we clean the burners and igniters, check flame quality and gas connections, test the ovens and broiler and inspect door hinges and gaskets. Gas-fired cast-iron cookers get a full burner service and combustion check. Either way, your AGA keeps cooking the way it was meant to.
