BlueStar range diagnostics before any part is ordered

BlueStar open burner and simmer repair
BlueStar's star-shaped open burners are easy to clean, but spills, grease and the wrong cleaning products can still block ports, foul igniters and upset the flame. We clean each burner head and orifice, test valve output, adjust the air shutters for a crisp blue flame and set the low-flame stops so the simmer burner holds a gentle heat again. We also replace worn igniters and spark switches and check that every burner lights on the first try.
PowR Oven, convection and infrared broiler repair
The BlueStar PowR Oven heats with a power burner at the back of the cavity instead of a bottom element. When the oven will not light, heats slowly or swings in temperature, the usual causes are the oven igniter, the gas safety valve or the thermostat. We also repair the convection fan and motor, the infrared broiler, door hinges and springs, gaskets and oven lights, then calibrate the oven against a reference probe.
Griddle, charbroiler and wok cooking
Griddles, charbroilers and integrated wok cooking are part of why people choose BlueStar, and they take a beating. We check thermostats and burner tubes on built-in griddles, verify even heat across the plate, inspect grates and the interchangeable griddle and charbroiler frame, and confirm the high-output burners deliver their rated BTU on both natural gas and propane.
BlueStar gas range installation and gas connection
BlueStar ranges are heavy and run at commercial-style outputs, so installation matters. Our RBQ-licensed team (8259-8822-21) sizes and installs the gas line and shutoff valve, checks inlet pressure, sets the range up for natural gas or propane, levels it, secures the anti-tip bracket and confirms clearances to cabinets, combustible surfaces and the hood. BlueStar recommends installation by a qualified technician, and we test every burner, the oven and the broiler before we leave.
BlueStar warranty service and genuine parts
As a BlueStar authorized service provider, we perform repairs covered by the BlueStar warranty according to the manufacturer's terms. Have your model number, serial number and proof of purchase from an authorized dealer ready, and we will confirm coverage with you. Outside the warranty, we install the same genuine BlueStar parts so your range keeps its performance.

Which BlueStar ranges do you service?
All BlueStar gas ranges: Platinum, RNB and RCS open burner series and sealed burner models, from 24 to 60 inches, including ranges with a griddle, charbroiler or French top.
One of my BlueStar burners lights unevenly. Can it be fixed?
Almost always. Blocked ports, a dirty orifice or a misadjusted air shutter cause most uneven flames on open burners. We clean the burner, check the valve and adjust the flame. If a burner head is cracked or warped, we replace it with a genuine part.

My BlueStar oven won't light. What should I check?
If the burners on top work but the oven does not, the oven igniter is the most likely cause, followed by the gas safety valve or the thermostat. Do not keep trying to light it. Call us and we will test the ignition circuit safely.

Do you handle BlueStar warranty repairs?
Yes. As an authorized provider, we perform repairs covered by the BlueStar warranty according to its terms. BlueStar only covers ranges bought from authorized dealers, so keep your proof of purchase handy.

Do you install new BlueStar ranges?
Yes. We handle the full installation: gas line sizing and shutoff valve, natural gas or propane setup, levelling, anti-tip bracket, clearance and hood checks, and a complete test of the burners, oven and broiler.

Can I use my BlueStar's broiler and oven at the same time?
No. On BlueStar ranges, the infrared broiler and the oven burner do not run at the same time. That is normal and not a fault. If the broiler does not light at all, though, the igniter or valve needs testing.
