Viking Factory Authorized Service · Gatineau to Québec City
Viking Gas Range Repair & Installation, Montreal to Québec City
Elevation burners that won't light, a VariSimmer that runs hot, an oven that stalls below temperature or a Gourmet-Glo broiler that stays dark: our factory authorized technicians repair Viking 7, 5 and 3 Series gas ranges with genuine Viking parts.
Viking builds its gas ranges in Greenwood, Mississippi, in several series that share a look but not their parts. We know which burners, valves, igniters and oven systems each one uses.
Viking gas range series
Viking 7 Series gas ranges
Elevation burners rated 23,000 BTU at the front, VariSimmer on every burner, SureSpark re-ignition and a Gourmet-Glo infrared broiler, in 36 and 48 inch widths.
The core professional line in 30, 36, 48 and 60 inch widths, with sealed burners, a convection oven and a gas infrared broiler. The Viking range we see most often in Quebec.
Open burners in 30, 36 and 48 inch widths for cooks who want direct, wok-ready flame. Burner bowls, ports and igniters call for a different approach than sealed models.
30 inch self-cleaning gas ranges that bring Viking styling to standard cabinetry. Self-clean cycles put door locks, gaskets and oven sensors under real stress.
Viking gas range repair, installation and maintenance by authorized technicians
A Viking range is built like commercial equipment, and it should be serviced that way. Entretien Universel has worked on premium gas cooking equipment since 1995. As a Viking factory authorized service provider, we repair, install and maintain Viking gas ranges to the manufacturer's standards, from Gatineau to Québec City, with the same team that holds our RBQ gas licence.
Viking range diagnostics before any part is ordered
Every visit starts with a complete diagnostic. We check gas pressure, igniter and spark module operation, flame quality on each burner, oven temperature against a calibrated probe, and the condition of valves, wiring and door hinges. You get a clear explanation of what failed and why, with a firm quote, before any part is ordered. Have your model and serial numbers ready: Viking has revised many components over the years, and the right part depends on the exact build of your range.
Viking burner ignition and SureSpark repair
Constant clicking, a burner that will not light or one that goes out on low are the most common Viking calls we receive. The cause can be a cracked igniter, a wet or worn spark switch behind the knob, a failing spark module, a misaligned burner cap or blocked ports. On 7 Series ranges, the SureSpark system relights a burner automatically if the flame goes out, so a fault there has to be traced from end to end. We test each part of the circuit and replace only what has failed.
Viking gas oven, convection and Gourmet-Glo broiler repair
A Viking gas oven that heats slowly, never reaches temperature or will not light usually points to a weakening oven igniter, the gas safety valve or the thermostat. We also repair convection fans and motors, the Gourmet-Glo infrared broiler, door hinges and springs that let heat escape, gaskets, oven lights and, on 3 Series models, the self-clean door lock. Once the repair is done, we calibrate the oven against a reference probe so your recipes come out the way they should.
Elevation burners, open burners and VariSimmer
The 7 Series Elevation burners deliver 23,000 BTU at the front and VariSimmer on every burner, so a weak flame or a simmer that boils over is noticed right away. We clean and check ports and burner heads, test valve output, adjust air shutters for a clean blue flame and set low-flame stops. On open burner models, we clear the burner bowls and adjust each flame individually. Griddles and char-grills get the same attention, from thermostats to burner tubes.
Viking gas range installation and gas connection
A Viking range is heavy, and it only performs when it is installed to Viking's specifications. Our RBQ-licensed team (8259-8822-21) runs or adapts the gas line, installs the shutoff valve, checks inlet pressure, converts the range between natural gas and propane when required, levels it, secures the anti-tip bracket and confirms clearances to cabinets and the hood. We test every burner, the oven and the broiler before we leave.
Viking warranty service and genuine parts
As a Viking factory authorized service provider, we perform repairs covered by the Viking warranty according to the manufacturer's terms. Have your model number, serial number and proof of purchase ready and we will confirm coverage with you. Outside the warranty, we install the same genuine Viking parts, never generic substitutes, so your range keeps its performance and its value.
An annual tune-up prevents most service calls. We clean the burners and igniters, check flame quality and gas connections, test the oven and broiler, inspect door hinges and gaskets, verify the anti-tip bracket and calibrate the oven temperature. It is the simplest way to keep a Viking range cooking like the day it was installed, especially in a kitchen where it is used every day.

Frequently asked questions
Viking range repair: 10 questions, 10 answers
1
Are you a Viking factory authorized service provider?
Yes. Entretien Universel is a Viking factory authorized service provider in Quebec. Our technicians are trained on Viking gas ranges, we use genuine Viking parts and we perform warranty repairs according to the manufacturer's terms.
2
Which Viking gas ranges do you service?
All Viking gas ranges: 7 Series, 5 Series sealed and open burner models, 3 Series, and earlier Viking Professional ranges, in 30, 36, 48 and 60 inch widths, including models with a griddle or char-grill.
Why do the burners on my Viking range keep clicking?
Usually because moisture or a spill has reached a spark switch or igniter, or because a burner cap is out of place. If drying the cooktop and reseating the caps does not stop it, the spark module or a switch needs testing. We find the exact part instead of replacing the whole system.
4
My Viking oven takes forever to heat. What is wrong?
On a gas oven, the most common cause is a weakening oven igniter that no longer opens the safety valve quickly. A faulty valve, thermostat or temperature sensor can do the same. We test each one and calibrate the oven after the repair.
5
Do you handle Viking warranty repairs?
Yes. As an authorized provider, we perform repairs covered by the Viking warranty according to its terms. Give us the model, serial number and purchase date and we will confirm coverage before the visit.
6
Can you convert my Viking range from natural gas to propane?
Yes. Our RBQ-licensed team converts Viking ranges between natural gas and propane with the manufacturer's conversion parts, then adjusts every burner, the oven and the broiler for the new gas.
7
Which regions do you serve for Viking ranges?
We serve the corridor from Gatineau to Québec City, including Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, Trois-Rivières, Drummondville and Lévis. Send us your city and we will confirm availability.
8
How much does a Viking range repair cost?
Our rates start at $260 and vary by region. The rate for your area is confirmed when you book. Parts are quoted separately, and nothing is replaced without your approval.
9
Do you install new Viking ranges?
Yes. We handle the full installation: gas line and shutoff valve, natural gas or propane setup, levelling, anti-tip bracket, clearance checks and a complete test of the burners, oven and broiler.
10
Where do I find my Viking model and serial numbers?
On the rating plate of the range. Its location depends on the model, so call us and we will tell you where to look on yours. Having both numbers ready lets us bring the right parts on the first visit.
